Fire dampers and control systems A self-closing fire damper is a well known way of preventing the fire and toxic gases from spreading via ventilation ducts from one fire area to another through separating elements. Fläkt Woods' fire and smoke dampers are reliable and tested, and they each have a type approval for a particular purpose.

Fire damper valve KSOP is a circular exhaust valve, used to prevent spreading of fire and smoke to duct systems. A springloaded fuse will close the valve when temperature in the immediate vicinity reaches the fusible link rating 70 ºC. The valve meets the requirements of fire class E 60. KSOP is always delivered with mounting ring.
