Dampening the flames: Fläkt Woods launches New Roadshow

Fläkt Woods - the leading manufacturer of ventilation solutions - has launched a new Mobile Fire Roadshow, which is designed to highlight the effectiveness of the latest range of smoke and fire dampers in commercial and residential application

Visiting London, Cardiff and Manchester throughout September 2012, an integral fire chamber will give building services engineers the opportunity to experience a live demonstration and see Fläkt Woods’ products in action. 

In addition to the demonstration, Fläkt Woods will also run three CIBSE accredited CPD presentations. The first will focus on the Green Deal reducing total building emissions via the use of high efficiency energy recovery devices, followed by an examination of the danger of smoke in buildings and concluding with a focus on CE and EN certificated smoke control products

Products utilised in the Roadshow will include Fläkt Woods’ ETPR-EI-01 and ETPR-EI-03 circular fire dampers, which are utilised as closing devices for preventing the spread of fire in ventilation ducts between compartments. The truck demonstrates why designers should utilise a motorised combined with control solutions for life safety. Both models are designed for installation in walls or intermediate floors in circular ducting. ETPR-EI-01 and ETPR-EI-03 are available in sizes from 100-630mm and are tested in accordance to EN 1366-2 and EN 13501-3.

The Mobile Fire Road Show is run by an experienced team of skilled fire experts who are trained to manage and control the event.
